@matigo Indeed we did. With that setup I had jumped up to a 1200 baud modem from the 300 baud I was using on the C64.

@matigo I always had the turbo button pressed. It seemed stupid not to back in the day. I also had my 40MB hard drive compressed with Stacker to eek out that extra capacity.

@nitinkhanna GNU social is basically PHP + MariaDB and Mastodon I think is Ruby + PostgreSQL so whichever of those might fit your setup better… ?

@nitinkhanna Not as such no, it's stored on your instance but as posts from [email protected] so they are in your database and visible but not as a user local to your instance.
