@kdfrawg It's the same app. I should have said Messages (the app) rather than iMessage (the service which I refuse to use because it's the devil).

And checking T-Mobile's website I'm already on a newer carrier bundle than what they show. Figures.

Hmm. iPhone decided it couldn't talk to the carrier network any longer. Forced reboot brought it back. Hoping it's just a one time thing and not a "hard reset the phone" thing like I've been forced to do in the past.
