Current status: sipping coffee while reading books on programming in C#
@matigo I looked at it for a while when I was messing with GNU social (I also ran for about 9 months). But I came to the conclusion that ostatus isn't a great protocol for federation. Other networks I think do a much better job at it like diaspora. I've thought about trying out Mastodon more but between my Friendica server, 10C, and Pnut my social plate is pretty full.

@matigo I don't have a Mastodon instance. I do have a Friendica server which among other protocols speaks ostatus which is used by Mastodon for federation. So I can follow and be followed by users on Mastodon. I can also interact with users on GNU social, Diaspora, and Hubzilla.

@thedan84 At least you gave it a shot, would have been cool if it were possible. What's your plan B or have you figured that out yet?
@bazbt3 after following along the development process for a little while now I can see ultimatly they did it to themselves. Big ideas but no real commitment to make it happen.
