@jws no worries, the interaction isn't as natural as I suppose it could be but trying to anticipate user intent can be a tricky thing. and it's entirely possible there is a logic error somewhere. i'm relying on users to tell me when something doesn't behave right.
@jws It may have been a user error. BlurbyBot parses replies one of two ways. Either using explicity the /reply command or looking for a 'replytomessage' in the body of the received message which happens if the user right clicks or long taps a previous mention and chooses reply. In either case the user has to indicate it as a reply versus a new post which happens by default if no other indication is supplied.

@schmidt_fu Yep that's essentially how I'm delivering the notifications. Pushover is good if all you want is a notification. The Telegram bot offers a little more of a two way experience like replies and new posts.
