I've been staring at my screen for the last 10 minutes and wondering if it appeared fuzzy because my eyes were tired or if it was the beer I just had. It finally dawned on my that I needed to clean my glasses.
Meetings done, lunch aquired, tunes playing, let's see if I can jump into some fun code this afternoon.
Been too busy to follow social lately but still squeezing bits of code and active in various chats. In other words I'm not dead yet.
I'm happy that we are getting to a point where seperate chat rooms on various networks both old and new can bridge together with a bit of matrix [matrix.org] magic. ?
Based on the feedback I got I'm going to continue self-hosting my projects and focus on that initial README for a proper jumping off point. I've also opened up my gogs server [code.monkeystew.net] to make it easier for contributions to current and future projects.
@caff I haven't really cared much about where a project is normally if I'm just contributing something. I tend to prefer self-hosting my own projects though. But I'm contemplating starting up a project that others could help contribute to so I wonder if self-hosting would cause others to shy away.
Question for those who like to contribute to open source projects. Does the location where a project is hosted (e.g. GitHub) affect your decision to contribute?
Because it's been a crazy stressful week, and because I have to drive to Bakersfield this weekend, I think I'm going to take tomorrow off work. I need a little downtime.
