I wonder if I'll actually be able to poke at any code this evening or not. So much to do still and time is rapidly running out.
Heh, my fragile notification script for 10Cv4 is fragile. I'll have to debug it later when I have the time.
@sumudu It's a wonderful thing when technology actually lives up to it's promise.
@sumudu what you find on .org is the wordpress software that you can install and run on any web server or web hosting service that supports it. The .com is a wordpress hosting service. In either case you can use your own domain name if you so choose. My blog was originally on the .com service, but I moved it to my own server a little while back.
@sumudu wordpress can either be self hosted or folks can use wordpress.com. Self hosted again you can ultimately set the rules on your content however you choose. Wordpress.com sites I believe give you some options but I don't recall what they are off the top of my head.
@sumudu Also with regards to 10C, I believe @matigo has an option to set your basic content license. So posting content here does grant you a certain degree of control at least as far as that is concerned. You can see the options in the account settings if I'm not mistaken.
@sumudu well in essence it gives you more control. It all goes back to the terms of service. If you run your own server, you essentially set the rules within the laws and regulations of where it's hosted of course. But some sites will grant you greater control to license your content. Sites like Twitter and Facebook have terms that grant them rights so by publishing there.
@sumudu I self host my stuff. While I don't have the same financial intensive as some with regards to my content I still like to have more of a say in how my stuff is licensed. Social networks like Twitter and Facebook take that right so they can make money.
Moving very slow this morning. I suspect my sleep wasn't very restful last night. Need #coffee, stat.
