@streakmachine I'm still searching for that kind of unified messaging experience. BlackBerry came close with the Hub but it's still not perfect. And also not desktop.
As I alt-tab between my various chat clients this comes to mind once again. Still a favorite.
I think I have sufficient levels of #coffee in me now to log in and check my work email.
It looks like I might actually get to spend some time this weekend coding. At least I don't have anything on my calendar that says otherwise. ?
@jws I've been doing a lot of expirmentation with connecting various different chat networks.
@jws Basically a hosted bridge to other IM networks. Similar to matrix bridges or xmpp transport gateways.
Finally took BitlBee (https://www.bitlbee.org) for a test drive. I must say I rather like it.
@matigo Just not a fan of a heavy weight javascript monster that webapps tend to grown into. And yet I still write them myself from time to time. :p
Riot is cool and the most feature rich client, but I'd like to find me a non-webapp client for matrix.
